It is everything, and it is nothing.
Soul surfing is an entirely self gratifying kind of human condition. For Carson, it is generally revealed as a result of a very satisfying surf session in which there has been an unencumbered connection with the very essence of the sport/art. Typically, he feels this at the conclusion of each and every one of his very satisfying surf sessions. In this sense it is an ex ante condition.
Either that, or it simply means surfing alone and enjoying it!

Imitation is considered to be a form of flattery... except when it comes from a has been pariah who is no longer man enough to show his own sig in this group as a result of being exposed as a kook and a lier.
But, when you have nothing esle going on in your life, you might as well lurk in a news group where you are no longer welcome and occasionally post queer messages posing as some else (in this case, Carson).
The funny thing is, it is so obvious!
