Hi,

I apologize if this is the type of question that has been asked 46485 times and really should be looked up in the FAQ, if there is one.

However, I live in Sweden, but will be spending July with friends in Bend, Oregon. After staying with them, I'd really like to go surfing, preferably at some kind of camp, as I've never done it before. I have wakeboarded, snoboarded, skateboarded and windsurfed, though, so I guess I have some kind of basic knowledge. My question is, are there any camps in the area for like a week or so, that offer accomodation possibilities like camping or something like that, and that aren't too outrageously expensive? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

You can camp easily on the Oregon coast line. Try a web search using www.dogpile.com for Oregon Surfing. There are some sites that will give you good information. Lincoln City, Oregon has one or two surf shops. Also, Gorge Performance surf shop in Portland is a good source of information. One caution, they have very big fish that occasional bite.
