I've never heard about Haitian surf first hand, but I know people who have surfed the southern coast of Jamaica. Looking at a map, Haiti is right next door.

You apparently are on the northern coast. My guess is you'll be driving through crazy 3rd world traffic on weekends to reach virgin reef breaks.

Hope you'll post some surf reports when you get there!

Rule number one- always bring your board. Rule number two- never break rule one.

Email the weatherchannel.com and ask those guys, if you don't get a response here. I emailed a technical question one time to them about the Gulf and Dr. Lyons himself emailed me back.

There's some blockage from Bahamian islands due N/NW but there's no reason not to get some N/NE swell. I am not familar with the coastal topography but would suggest exploring some online topo maps. Dominican Republic to the east has some good waves, NW PR has the best set-up. Transportation in northern Haiti may be an interesting proposition.
