This was posted on www.sncsurf.com I thought I'd help out by getting it to a larger audience.

Wanted, Shark-Bitten surfboard I'm seeking a shark-bitten surfboard for an exhibition at our museum. Could you please help me locate one? If I can't obtain a surfboard, I might still be able to utilize a photo of the same.

I'll be most grateful for any attention you could give to my request. Thank you very much.

OK. I'll bite.

What museum wants a shark bitten board? Damaged board museum?

Section A: Delams and Spider Crack Exhibition

Section B: Dropped off the SUV Gallery

Section C: Shark Bite Archives.

Section D: The 'Buddy' Collections.

Section E: 73 Other Things to do with Surf Wax.

Sully wonders:nce.

Very funny given the subject of the thread. I think they had something more significant in mind.

*Note: Section D is now being housed in an Annex building in the Warehouse District due to the need for many more square feet. Mr. Williams conducts Weekly tours of the exhibit every Wednesday.

Scene: Wednesday Tour of Section D, The Buddy Collection.

I suspect they don't want to keep it and most likely, they'll pay you to exhibit it.

if this was a few years ago, i'd probably be more inclined. my board has since taken tons of abuse from my friends who don't surf. it still has sentimental value, though. i've got some photos of the board taken a few days after the attack, maybe i'll see if i can find them.

Gday, In Australia the last 12 months has been pretty ordinary for sharks. I dont fancy your chances getting a board, coz if I had one I'd never sell it.

I'd try Tracks Surfing Magazine, www.tracksmag I think is their site. They are a very famous surfing mag in Australia. They have done many extensive shark attack stories, and I'm sure they have a few pics of boards bitten. The more recent attacks have been fatalities, and very large White Pointers involved.

Good Luck!
