Caught some very fun 1st peak surf at the Inlet this afternoon/evening from the low that was spinning in the North Atlantic. Waves were chest to head high with fast meaty wedges.Tight local crew so no waves went unridden (only missing the Hobgoods and Kelly)! Finally starting to loose our winter bottom (to much sand against the jetty). Looking forward to round 2 tommorrow morning. Could be

About 50ft across - black, hard, - don't bother, the traffics terrible.

Actually - a number of reports on surfinfo about South Florida: - general consensus - small, just about rideable.

Check : http://www.surfinfo.com/html/reports.html

for the latest. Also - our good friends the Sea Lice are back..

Graeme says...

OOOOOOFAAAHHH!!!!Such a funny guy!!! I'm wetting my depends. <g>

ACKKKK!! I hate those buggers. Sometime last year we had a fairly astute thread on the origin and nature of sea lice (tiny carnivorous shrimp?). Nothing better for clearing the water of tourons. I can tolerate them more than stinging jellies, especially if the surf's good. Most interesting to see wimmin charging out of the water and stripping off their suits under beach towels. I got some flushed under my shortie once and they decided my groinal area would be a good place for a picnic. I find if your just douse 'em with kerosene and light 'em up they disappear quite fast. :^(

Then wash down a couple 'small' roasted mountain oysters with a some cold beer.

Hey man, if you'll repeat that at this year's guidopalooza2001, maybe I'll even drop in for a look see.

Reef Raod hasn't worked in weeks! Summer is drawing near, at least that what the ocean is saying!
