County?

At the junction of most large bodies of water and land, as long as there are no other weather patterns affecting us, there will be a regular breeze (at about 11:00 AM on the central east coast US) from convection creating a low pressure do to the different heat/cool rates of land and water.

Southern California is different from many areas because of the inclusion of the mountains.

Here's a start to your understanding.

This mornings session at the Reef was comparable to a lake, initially. Pure glass. Little ashe then the rollers started coming through (high tide at the reef). Waist to chest high. Mellow crowd. Few seals and a pod of dolphins. Really tan/eerie Southern skies with the smoke from the fires.

Thanks G*d there isn't a Santa Ana blowing right now for the people West of the fire lines (North of Escondidi to the border).
