Sus spilled the goods:

ooooooo, the tension mounts.

Was he headlining or just in the chorus line?

Did you check your purse afterward? Just wondering

Any pics? Love to see that.

Well you pretty much gotta amplify this statement with what you expected and how he surpassed it :^)

Did you check his ID? I'd be suspicious immediately.

So now my crap detector is in the red zone. I'd be looking over my shoulder to see if someone is playing with one of the Radio Control thingies.

'Hello Saki? This is Sus. I just met this notorious cybercharacter who is funny, personable, engaging, funny, worldly, well read, funny, intellectually stimulating, gregarious, metaphysical, phunny, and who impressed me so much I agreed to pick up the tab for expensive sushi and a couple quarts of saki.'

'Hello Sus? This is Saki talking. You just got hosed sweetheart.' ;^)

-Foon (That's ok Sus. I talk to Jack Daniels and no one believes me either)

Foon I'm flattered that you are jealous. Tell you what, I'll send you a sequined evening dress, you put on some lipstick and nail polish and fly your sweet ass out to Seattle and I'll let you buy me some sushi and saki too...

But no more. This is the last time. Serious!

'Lemmings!' says...

Lets see, you send me a cheap outfit from a consignment shop and I get to fly myself out there and make a total ass of myself, then pay for an overpriced dinner for you??? You may think you've built a tolerance for wasabi, but in fact it's made you crazy as the proverbial shithouse rat. Pass sparky, tried that already heehee:

I'll save my misbehavior for the GP2K1 where I know someone is guarding my back. There's a nasty rumor Surff is paying to fly you in as a celebrity secret guest to play alt.surfing Jeopardy:

'I'll try $200 for 'alt.surfing personalities' Alex.'

'The answer IS-.... Oscillating Personality Characteristics'

'What does OPC stand for, Alex?'

'Correctomoondo Mr.Lemmings, uh Mr.Sandman uh...., you get a smelly aluminum thermos as a prize!'

-Foon (Would that be blue sequins? I have blue eyes

This is what can happen when you look behind the curtain, Dorothy. Or lift off his mask, Luke.

I would have looked for the tin foil hat. It's a dead give-away.

Where Sus blew it was that if she'd contacted me, I would have paid for lunch. It's the gentlemanly thing to do.

PS: I thought the part where he stowed his board was a nice touch. It made him seem authentic.

You gotta deal. How bout the Met. Shall we say thursday about 8ish?

Surfers carry boards whenever they travel. Tourists don't.

says...

How about at the Pergola for stale rice cakes and Thunderduck? If you can't find the Pergola, well, just keep hunting. I don't buy lunch for guys... except on Capitol Hill.... but that's another story.

Some surfers even use the boards once in a while.

If you were traveling from your place to Seattle with a board in tow, the next stop would be Westport. I'd pay to see that.... that is, if I didn't get sidetracked by watching the Hades Hockey Team practicing.

Hmmm, sorry Grey - my loss ... I just assumed you were one of OPC's personnas (I never imagined he had a gentlemanly side).

Yeah, that was smooth. The salt-crusted three-day stubble was a bit overkill.
