my florida shark bite story...

great story with a couple nice extra tuoches...

another detail, when my dad was 13 or so, he was spearfishing with his older brother and older bro's friends back in puerto rico. being the youngest, he was required to swim tethered to the innertube that held the bag with the wriggling and bloody catch of the day.

at some point a small (3 ft or so) nurse shark (of all things!) bit my dad in the back. it was killed by one of the other kids while it was still clamped on to dad's back. it died there and had to be cut off with bolt cutters after they swam back to shore.

as far as i know we are one of the few father-son shark attack victims around!
