The ice is slowly dissapating after a brutal winter. Nevertheless, we still have ice shelves along much of the Great Lakes shoreline. A few guys were out at the south end of Lake Mich today and reported some slush boulders in the lineup, 2-4 ft and very clean. Away from shore it is mostly open now. The boulders were not dangerous, just the air temp: 14F. Anyway, here are more accurate ice reports: Eastern Lakes: http://www.natice.noaa.gov/pub/Great_Lakes/ 5_Lake_Composite/East_Comp...

Yeah, here is a picture of a frontier we had to cross between Mozambique and South Africa. It is loaded with land mines. I have some pictures of burnt out cars if you want those, too. ck

To be clearer. Got any sites that show where the mines are so one can walk around them?

If I thought it was worth it, I could go through all of my pictures and find one I've taken of mines demarked by white flags along the roadside in Mozambique. In towns they've actually created a standard metal sign with a picture of a mine and the standard danger sign.

Signs like this were posted around the lighthouse at Porto D'oro. ck
