I can admit when I am wrong. I had a gut feeling that JB was a poser and could not surf. Well, today I saw him out at Surfside. The conditions were chest to head, semi clean with decent form. I could not believe my eyes. I took a wave, got a couple of wacks and went to paddle back out. Here comes Jb paddleing for a wave. I thought uh oh, get ready to duck. Wrong! The guy zips by me with a total confident look on his face, destroys the lip and gives me a shower and then pulls a floater and goes into the next section where he got another wack of the lip. I don't know if he drank a few Red Bulls and was just on or what but he was tearing it up today. I talked to him for a while and he sure made a good first impression face to face. I just wanted to clear the air since I called him out a few times. I was wrong, JB does surf, and he surfs well.
