For that matter, someone facile with the web tools (I haven't tried yet), create the map and instructions and we could each install our reports ourselves.

sorry 'bout the reply to myself, maybe I win WSD kook award?

It would be really fun to see the WSD reports graphically linked to a world map (with swell model represented??).

Click on a loc in various places around the world and read the reports in a a popup field.

A bit of a chore, but some of your websites have a lot of work in it already!

Yes!!! It truly would be so much fun to see that! Great Idea, Mike! It really is so Beautiful, reading everyone's Stokingly Righteous WSD Reports.....and what has struck me above all, is how many places have been represented by everyone's reports....I keep lining up my Netscape alt.surfing messages by 'subject heading' & scrolling down to the letter 'W', so that I can see the long list of WSD report place names, all lined up, in a row! ....And they all so Wonderful, that I wouldn't know where to begin to comment on any of them, without replying to all of 'em! ....It's an incredible, heartwarming & inspiring experience to read them, one after another: Surfing KindredSpiritShip ToDaMax!!

Go, Team WSD!....What A _Beautiful_ A.S. Surfing Tradition!

When I first conceived my website back in 95, I intended to do that very same thing: http://www.iav.com/~sponge/travel/travel.html

Never did it though because of file size of the gif mapping (at the time, a 40k page was considered bad netiquette because of download limitations) and because I got lazy.

Anyway, I probably have several different kinds of global maps tucked away in my hard drive. If anyone wants to take a stab, their welcomed to (email me). Nowadays, you can use Fireworks or another program to slice up the image and make each slice hyperlinkable.

Regarding the WSD, it might be a challege to do with so many focused in the same place (eg SoCal). I'll start toying with it for fun, but I hope others will try it.
