all i knew is that craig surfed old mans, nothing else.
as we were looking for parking, bill spotted a guy in a wetsuit video-ing beer cans on a table and said that has to be him or someone with him.
that was long board larry (one of many) and his bro, from wisconsin, who were staying right below craig. craig wasn't there anymore.
no local takes a video camera to the beach to video beer cans. way to spot the tourists, bill.
craig, sorry we missed you.

Hi Joanne, I am very sorry I missed you and Bill, and I appreciate the effort you made to find me!
The waves, such as they were, had me going out at the Old Manz rip and then often going left to get to the waves. We were just to the south of the bamboo patch with the shower across from restroom #4 and I was with NeoN, B_K, Warz, and a couple of Laker guys. Also, around 2 PM Crag_T_Bagger came up and we got him out on a longboard! We polished off the evening at Dukes for dinner and then headed to the Ribtrader for even more beer..
It would have been fun to paddle out with you and accrue even more alt.surfing points!
Anyway, the three days I had in Southern California were loads of fun and it was sooooo good to thaw out finally!
I took a heap of pictures. I will do a short page on it when they have been developed. I have some great shots!
I was surprised, but did you find Longboard Larry at Church's ?? He wasn't over by us, for sure. Video of beer cans?? Interesting.. maybe he creating a 'Surfing the Lakes and Consuming Suds, California Style' video or something?
I should be out again within three weeks. I hope to paddle out with you sometime soon!

bzzzt. When I got stoned enough _anything_ looked photogenic. You can always tell my 'pot shots'. They were the photos of wood grain, swash lines, and peeling paint.

Those were the ones that looked sooo fabulous when I was shooting, and came out dark, blurry, booring.
ljs FINALLY getting the hang of scanner, photoshop, and printer enough to have my own little deluxe dry color darkroom ...so much better than all those nasty chemicals that expire so quickly
