The nice thing about the Southern Hemi is LONG DAYS! Today there was absolutely zilch for waves so I headed up to Yallingup for a paddle. The Yallingup Malibu comp is slated in two weeks so I thought I'd just suss out the reef.

I'm surprised no one's died here. There is a solid limestone reef 6 inches deep from one end of the beach to the other. I couldn't see how anyone could ever surf it, but apparently it breaks further out on a swell. Still...death on the inside. My backyard Grunters looks like Neverland compared to this nasty reef.

Still the most beautiful place you'd ever want to bruise your shins. Warm water, light crowd, dogs walking on the reef all the way into the lineup,

...if only Oz won the rugby tonight but ... the world won't end just yet ;-0

Alot further out.

Check the Yallingup (limestone) cave system if the no-swell continues.

TELEVISION = Man's triumph over the OFF switch

Keep paddling into them
