Color Me Surfing

Aloha,

The surf is flat to crap on all shores, but Photoshop 6 came in the mail last week so I'm working on my first ever color surf pics.

I got good response from the one I put up on Cam's page so I thought I would see what I could do to a couple of others. They can be viewed on my home page (3 pics) and biography page (2 pics). Links below.......

Remember I mentioned that the day was stormy, small Hanalei, but I believe you guys can get the idea for the place's potential. And the camera used was a non-telephoto water proof disposable so I lost a lot of clarity bringing in the image. But I must admit that it *is* trippy to have surf shots of myself again, especially color. It had been 32+ years since the previous shots, which reside in my archives gallery, were taken. I found it interesting that the new whip turn shot resembles the old turn shots in regards to surfing style. I do hang on to those old tricks and maneuvers.

I had to wait until the water got to be about 50 but i have started up again.i cant even tell you how much i missed my winter surfing here. next year i am going to surf into about december though. i am going to be covered in rubber from head to toe and bur mostly it will be my face and ears that will get more protection. there are some products i have heard of that will cover my face except for my eyes and i will put ear plugs in to protect the water from going down my ear canal....that is where the nerve is that is affected by bells palsy.

Hey, river rat, any chance of you making it to Guidopalooza in Oct???????? that would be so cool and will give an old fart like me a real smile...............whadda ya say?????? water in Haterras in early Oct should be about 72 or so, so bring a wetsuit..todd.
