Anyone watch Survivor?

I think last nights vote was BS. Anyway, hopefully the waves will pickup this weekend.

My wife was all blubbering during the vote. Oh, Rodger!

Anyway, it got me thinking about how our group's personalities would fare in a similar situation.

Here's the deal. We drop off all the alt.surfing regulars on Tavarua, Fiji in the summer. No shelter, no food, just water and surfboards.

Who'd last the longest? Who'd go out first? Who could build a fire the first? Who would get burned by the fire? Who wouldn't get along? Would any romances blossom? Who would be the best rice cooker? Who would get the most immunities by winning the challenges? Who would get bitten by a sea snake? Who would eat the snake? Which tribe would win the Cloudbreak surf challenge? (Team PNW, Team SoCal, Team NorCal, Team Hawaii, Team Aussie, Team Europe, Team Right Coast, Team Great Lakes, etc) Who would surf until he/she starved to death?

It is Saturday morning here in San Diego, rain coming down in buckets and the surf is totally blown. The result is a rash of postings by a bored Carson. OBsurfr(kneed4speed) hoping for better surf to occupy a wave hungry Carson.

I'm sorry I cannot comment since I have not seen one episode of any survivor show, just the promos which to me seem pretty lame. I can make a guess about just 3.

what's the deal, here? When the first Survivor premiered I wrote a review of sorts of the show, thought it was entertaining but that I'd not likely be able to see anymore shows.

Mike, Don't think it's like that. It's pretty obvious that most of the group hasn't watched or cared to watch these 'reality shows.' I haven't cared about this either, but my wife is hooked so I glance at it on occasion. (I actually loved the old Real World on MTV, though, the precursor to all modern reality-based shows.)

Anyway, the only reason I think people are responding positively now is that I've tried to put this show into the alt.surfing context, which we all can fully relate to.
