I've been watching that and drooling for a few days. But one swell does not an early autumn make. It's still mid-August. The Rangers aren't officially out of the pennant race yet (about 3 or 4 days ought to do it, though - and the Mariners are on autopilot, crushing everything in their path).

OTOH, I have trees that normally stay green until December - whose leaves are turning yellow and falling now. The geese have left. And there was a very Chinook-feeling wind today. Hmmmmm.

I think it's a pre-requisite that the object of sacrifice be well used and worthy of some shred-value before any appeasment is to be expected.

Either way, seems like the last 3 or 4 years went this way for us, until October that is. Then, we finally get one or two pumpers.
