I've seen a few people here and there with these portable water pump/shower thingies. Looks like a small hand pressure pump attached to a 3 or 5 gallon water jug with a hose coming out dispensing a good amount of water to wash off with. I rarely surf the regular beach breaks with showers so this would come in handy for me. I know what some of you are thinking.. dude just go ask one of those guys where they got their setup from. The problem is that I haven't seen one for a couple of months and my search on the internet has come up short. I've found similar pumps but, they only pump water out of the jug far enough to get into a cup. I'm semi-aware that one of these contraptions could be blasphemous because a gallon jug of water works just fine and, I think, is some sort of tradition. Either way, it seems like a relatively cheap idea that could work well.

Any information would be greatly appreciated,

nate

This one is battery powered, but close
http://www.portablepowershower.com

However.......

there's a gravity fed product called a Sun Shower that uses sunlight to heat the water up nice and warm, available from www.campmor.com among others (or your friendly neighborhood REI or EMS or camping store ). Cheap and it works.
