MrsFoon is really good at popping the pity balloon. Your story has a lot of that quality. As good as I used to have it when I surfed, there will always be someone else who got it better, and for that matter much worse. Each time I get to surf I am very thankful for the opportunity and grateful I am still able. Interesting story....hang in there it could be worse...you could be in florida like me... knowing all the while that the surf in hawaii (my old home) is going off all winter long...

anyway, not the real reason I'm writing..

first off, I saw you (Neal) wrote that you were talking with friends, including chep is that brain cheplic? if so, tell him tom said wassup...he should remember me...if not just say the guy that used to do the weekend weather for News8 said wassup...

anyway, i see you have pics of guam and some descriptors too on your website these are some of the few i have been able to find on the 'net i am moving to guam in a month (meaning i get to spend 2 weeks in Hawaii) and was wondering if you could give me any more info/photos on where to look for surf in guam

Yes! Bryan Cheplic is a good friend of mine. Haven't seen him for a couple of years.

Yep. He's trying to do morning weather with one of the channels (KITV?). Will tell him if I see him. I'll chase down a pic I took of him way back.

Best resource is The Surf Report by Surfer magazine. The report for Guam is very dated, but gives you a good feel for the area. Lots of outer reefs that didn't work for me while I was there. I loved Left Side and Right Side at Agana Boat Basin. If you go to Lotus Surfboards, say hi to Fred Mendiola for me.
